Is it too much to ask? Maternity jeans that don't fall down

I am just entering the maternity jeans section of pregnancy. It's my fifth time being pregnant and yet I'm still to find a pair of jeans that don't fall down. Is it just me?

They always seem to fit fine at first, then I walk around and after an hour the crotch has slowly descended to gather just above my knees. Sick of constantly yanking them up like a pair of worn baggy tights, but also really sick of leggings!

Is it because I'm quite apple shaped? Is it because the material is always the stretchy type? Am I buying a size too big even though it's my normal not-pregnant size? Are there any brands that actually stay up?? I've tried H&M, Topshop, ASOS, and New Look over my years being pregnant. Do I need to buy more expensive maternity jeans, or will they just end up the same way too?

Very small problem to have, I know, but it's irritating me that I might be missing a trick somewhere after all these years.

I eventually gave up and lived in leggings. 🤷‍♀️

I'm going to try the River Island ones this time round but they need ordered online, not available in store. I also like my Asda ones but I'm not very big yet, can't see them lasting til 9 months.

Over the bump in your correct size should solve this issue, no? My under bump mat jeans did this but my over bump ones, which I bought later, fit amazingly. They were sooo comfy and I continued to wear them for them for up to about 6-8 weeks postpartum too until I bought myself some new jeans as I still couldn't fit in my old pre-baby jeans at that point. My over bump ones were from H&M cheap in a sale.

My next over bump jeans are awful witching an hour of a wash I'm back to saggy knees and a baggy crotch. They are in my actual size as well. I've only got 10 weeks to go so il just have to suck it up and hope the warmer weather comes quick!

I got several pairs of Seraphine over the bump jeans on eBay which I wore with a belt and they were fine.

I hated maternity jeans, bought both over and under bump jeans which was all useless.

In the end I bought a bump band from Jojo which attached to my normal jeans as bump expanded and loved that.

Over the bump Primark ones were amazing. Can't remember how I figured it out, given that none of their jeans or trousers have ever fitted me, but they are amazing and dirt cheap!

Like a few other pp, I never found any that didn't do this. After 5 or 6 pairs, I also resorted to my old trousers with an elastic band around button until around 36 weeks when I switched to leggings full time.
Second pregnancy, I tried again and failed and switched to leggings earlier as nothing was comfortable!

I found under the bump way better at staying up. Topshop were my favourite.

I'm 5"6 and Dorothy Perkins were about half a foot too long. Someone should tell them that pregnant women don't grow taller!

Thanks for the responses - clearly it’s not just me then! Current pair are over the bump (H&M), but have tried loads of under the bump, too. Doesn’t seem to make much difference. Was getting bored of leggings and the fact that I have to wear them with a long top / dress, rather than jeans which I can wear with normal length tops. But might just have to stick with the leggings look for now. You’ve reminded me that I did used to wear normal jeans with bump bands, so maybe I’ll give that a go again.
