Girlguiding woes

are there any members of Girlguiding on here that know of a Facebook group/page for disgruntled leaders/ex leaders? I need to vent!

There are lots of fb groups that are moderated fairly heavily.
You're welcome to vent to me anonymously via pm if you want (I am a guide and rainbow leader, commissioner and trainer)

In “extra curricular activities” there used to be a support thread for Girlguiding leaders which, as far as I know, is still going.

Please just be aware that the Code of Conduct applies even to your MN use.

If anyone is looking at that & thinking “does that mean Girlguiding Leaders aren’t free to publicly criticise the organisation they volunteer for” I’ve not said that. Not least because it would break the Code of Conduct.

Seriously, please be careful with what you say & to whom as social media usage has led to sanctions (up to & including withdrawal of Membership) for Members. There’s also always the delightful risk round here of a journalist on the trawl for stories & depending on what you’re upset about, they might be able to make something of it.

Most importantly though I hope you’ve not been too badly upset by whatever has happened and that things sort themselves out
