I'm now 4 weeks no smoking(cold Turkey) but it hasn't got easier, I feel like crap and feel more and more down and depressed, I miss smoking terribly
So...aibu to buy a vape in the hope this will help? If I do should it be a low nicotine or nicotine free, I wouldn't intend to use it for long, I just want to feel normal

It can take up to 3 months to get over nicotine withdrawal. You’ve already practically done one month, which is fantastic!!

Don’t ruin those 4 weeks you’ve already earned. Get yourself to the 3month mark and reevaluate.

I am doing one day at a time, but it's a miserable bloody day, I'm fed up with everything and everyone and fight a constant battle in my head not to go and buy some

You're doing so well. It will get easier. Are there situations you find particularly difficult that you could avoid for the time being?

YANBU but you might well regret going down the vape route when you've already come so far.

Vaping is worse than smoking.

FoodieToo · 21/02/2020 15:57

Try a nicotine replacement therapy but not vaping !

I used the gum amd I was a 30 a day smoker. It took the edge off teh cravings definitely.

Please keep going, it will be so worth it !

I went cold turkey last June. You can do it!!!

Nanny0gg · 21/02/2020 16:00

How much money have you saved? Can you treat yourself to something nice?

Farcry66 · 21/02/2020 17:07

Have you read Alan Carr's easy way to stop smoking? I was so sceptical of it when a couple of friends recommended it but I read it anyway. I had to read it twice but I went from a 20 a day smoker to none over night with barely noticing. For £5 off Amazon, what have you got to lose?
