Hi

Posting here for traffic.

Live in Milton Keynes. I go to London on my own all the time for work courses, visiting family. I generally use my contactless bank card for the tube, and I also have an Oyster card.

But... I've never taken my 3 girls without driving there! I want them to experience the train into London, and the Tube. How on earth do you do this with kids? Do I need to order them a kids Oyster card? Or, because it's only for a day visit, do I somehow get an All Day travel card for them?

How on earth do I do it after we all arrive in Euston? Please explain it to me as if I know nothing.

Thank you :)

Your 2yo travels for free. I’d probably get day tickets for the older two for ease, just go to the underground ticket machines at Euston.

If it’s going to be semi regular tho then I’d order them a card tfl.gov.uk/fares/free-and-discounted-travel

If you go to London all the time, surely you've seen the ticket machines just inside the underground station in Euston? Just buy the two older ones day tickets.

Nope, never seen them 😅. I go once a month minimum to visit my sister in Stratford (I was actually born in London and spent 8 years there - only my sister remains there now). But I just use my contactless 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you x
