Its boots... I paid by points.
I bought: 1x foundation £15
1x foundation £8.25
1x sandwich £1
1x Crisps 30p

Foundation was 2-4-1. Had a £5 off voucher. I think I also get 10% off food with contact lenses scheme.

I still dont get anywhere near that figure! (I make it more!).

Anyone (with a degree in maths/till receipts) help me work out how this is only £13.37???

Please someone help me work out this boots receipt....

The second foundation is a lot cheaper than hou have calculated.

YeahJackie · 18/02/2020 16:49

It looks like the contact lens scheme applied to your foundation too

Seventyone72seventy3 · 18/02/2020 16:49

It was £8.25 full price and you got it half price.

Acrasia · 18/02/2020 16:51

The 10% has been applied to the foundation as well as the food.

bestbefore · 18/02/2020 16:52

The contact lens scheme is an amount off all boots products...good innit?!

Acrasia · 18/02/2020 16:52

...and after the BOGOHP

ATowelAndAPotato · 18/02/2020 16:54

Also, you saved more points than you spent on your lunch!

Coldemort · 18/02/2020 16:58

Brill. Ok so now I've got:
£15 foundation.
£4.12 foundation (BOGOHP)
£1 butty
30p crisps
= £20.42.
Minus £5 voucher £15.42
Minus 10% = £13.88

Getting closer but arrrrgggghhhhGrin

blazerbranch · 18/02/2020 17:01

10% is on the 20.42?

Eddmr · 18/02/2020 17:01

Minus the 10% first and then take off the £5 voucher.

CastleCrasher · 18/02/2020 17:04

: 1x foundation £15 1500 pts, minus 10% 1350
1x foundation £8.25 bogohp 412, minus 10% 370
1x sandwich £1 minus 10% 90
1x Crisps 30p minus 10% 27
Minus 500 from voucher

Think that was it, DC climbing over me as I type so someone probably will have set it out better than me by now Grin

sashh · 18/02/2020 17:09

Your sandwich was 90p and your crisps 27p

HopeYouStepOnALego · 18/02/2020 17:20

@CastleCrasher has it and it totals 1337 from that calculation.

SweetNorthernRose · 18/02/2020 17:22

Total is the right hand column: £15 + £4.12 + 90p + 27p - £1.92 (extra 10% off your foundations) = £18.37 minus your £5 voucher.

goingoverground · 18/02/2020 17:26

In the order of the receipt:

Foundation 1 £15.00 or 1500 points
Foundation 2 £8.25 reduced to £4.12 or 412 points with the deal

10% contact lens discount

Sandwich £1.00 reduced to 90p or 90 points with discount
Crisps 30p reduced to 27p or 27 points with discount

weird confusing bit about -192 points which is actually the 10% discount being applied to foundations:

1500 + 412 = 1912
(1912/100) x 10 = 192 (rounded up)
1912 - 192 = 1720 points or £17.20

Then £5.00 or 500 points has been deducted for the voucher.

So after discounts applied
Total for foundations = £17.20 (1720 points)
Sandwich = 90p (90 points)
Crisps = 27p (27 points)
Total = £ 18.37 (1837 points)
Voucher = - £5.00 (-500 points)

Final cost = £13.37 or (1337 points)
