AIBU to ask my first question - about spas?

Yes, yes, I know spas are not generally approved of, but it's happening. And I'm quite looking forward to drifting about in a dressing gown with no kids or husband constantly asking where the car keys, the ketchup or the stick from the park two weeks ago are. Not to mention no work!

I have promised my 2 best friends who live abroad that I will find and book a spa for a weekend within easy reach of Heathrow or Stansted in early May, and I'm totally lost. Does anyone have a recommendations?
Must be a spa hotel, must serve alcohol and be conducive to wafting about in a dressing gown for two days straight. And there's 3 of us so not sure if that means one or two rooms, getting a headache already!

Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Or should I just forget about it and book a hotel in Lisbon?

tired does that include Forest Mere? I have heard that Tring is crap but Henlow has had an refurb (it wasn't great beforehand TBH)
Am considering Forest Mere but it's very expensive and wondering if the facilities are worth it.
