I’ve had amazing care throughout the whole time I’ve used services. Is my experience uncommon?

Because generally people don't publicise positive stories. You only hear the complaints. Also the nature of the illness is that often people are left frustrated and disappointed that the psychiatrist didn't "fix" them.

I guess that makes sense as it’s similar with reviews of products.

A lot of people who see a psychiatrist are also only engaging because of conditions/restrictions being in place, not because they want to engage. It’s the nature of secondary mental health services.

Depending on why you are seeing a psychiatrist SOME people will lack insight into their condition and are not able to see when the Psychiatrist is acting in their interest,s , I realise however not all Psychiatrists are good ,when I worked as a mental health Nurse some Psychiatrist,s are excellent ,most are ok and a few not so good .

Yes I’ve unfortunately heard some awful things about some of the ones even in the same team as the one I see
