To need to know etiquette ASAP?

Sorry for the aibu post.
Quick question. Fence between us and neighbours has fallen down. We are not on great terms with them as they’re pretty antisocial, lots of noise and arguments.
He’s just shouted over the fence that he will pop in to talk re getting the fence fixed.
The fence is their fence. We have deeds to show this.
If he asks us to pay half then we don’t need to right?
We are in no financial position to replace a fence that isn’t ours.
They have a big dog that’s not particularly friendly that’s currently bounding round our garden.
What’s the etiquette please?

Glad it got sorted. Our fence got blown a few years back, it was on our deeds. We had to speak to the owners from the other side purely for access and letting them know of the date when the fence got fixed so they would be at home to grant access. We replaced the whole lot, it was an expensive job as we had around 9 or 10 panels to replace but it was done in couple of days. I'm glad we had them done properly as the last storms didn't do any damage to them. X

Why does having music playing, make someone scary?!?!?!?

B&M had a variety of sizes of fence panels displayed outside their store here recently - can’t remember how much but very reasonable prices I thought at the time.

Well done on going round for face to face. It’s far more sensible to sort it out like that.
