To be so tired all the blinking time...

Well, just that really.. I work three days a week, have three children age 8/6/4 and my husband works shifts throughout the entire week. I do help out in school one morning a week as well as the usual household/kids activity and homework stuff and my husband is fairly good at sharing the load when he’s around but still I’m so tired all of the time, can’t ever stay awake past 10pm and often just go to bed at 8/9pm because I’m really flagging. I thought life might get easier as they got older but I’m still shattered, is this normal? Will I ever see an entire film ever again? Grin

Me too. Work 3 days, kids are 3 and 6. I'm taking high doses of iron but don't feel normal at all. At least I'm hoping it's not the new normal

Maybe I’ll give an iron boost a go and see if it helps. I’m hoping that spring time might help me out when it arrives!

Worth seeing a doctor. I was exhausted all the time but put it down to business (2 kids, full time job etc) but started getting headaches and went to see the GP, she did some blood tests and my B12 (I think!) was low. 6 injections later and I felt so much better.

iamruth · 14/02/2020 18:30

@Boom45 that’s interesting, maybe I’ll book in for a review just in case...

Vitamin D supplement might help too.

Boom45 · 14/02/2020 18:49

@iamruth I was surprised by it. I still get shattered by the end of a long week and stuff but the total, constant exhaustion has gone.

sd249 · 14/02/2020 19:02

Exactly the same as me. I went to the GP and also was diagnosed with low B12!

belay · 14/02/2020 19:21

10pm is late enough bedtime for anyone if up early every morning

RandomMess · 14/02/2020 20:41

For me it was Vit D and you need prescription strength not over the counter stuff.

Smurf123 · 14/02/2020 20:49

Me currently!
Also been diagnosed with low b12 and low folate... Been given tablets to take for 12 weeks before retest to see if I need the injections

iamruth · 14/02/2020 21:43

Lots of people here suggesting B12 I’ll try and get checked out I think thanks everyone
