MrsJoshNavidi · 13/02/2020 21:52

Yes.

PestyMachtubernahme · 13/02/2020 21:56

Open it, smell it.
If it is wine, drink it.
If it is vinegar, cook with it.
Cheers

FickleTickle · 13/02/2020 21:58

Yes!

It is obviously an emergency and needs must! Cheers 🍷

Redshoeblueshoe · 13/02/2020 22:02

Thank fuck for you lot. I knew you would be quicker than Google (assistant just kept talking about corks.)
pours, drinks then breathes

If the cork has shrunk then air has gotten in. The wine might be off but you won’t know til you open it.

Enjoy your wine Wine

Redshoeblueshoe · 13/02/2020 22:12

Tip for next time: if it's essential, buy screwtop Grin

Crockof · 13/02/2020 23:32

@Redshoeblueshoe it was a screw top Shock

Excellent I hope you are enjoying it 🍷

DontCallMeShitley · 14/02/2020 00:21

I had a leaking bottle once, realised when it was leaking on the tablecloth.

Bottle was cracked. Didn't drink it due to small risk of glass. If it is just the screw top it would be fine, but a crack...

If you’re worried about bits of glass then run it through a sieve.
It won’t be ‘corked’ as it’s a screw top.
Enjoy!

Check for damage and taste if it’s not broken.
