To get a new bed frame because I think mine is bulky?

I've had two kids since we got it and it honestly takes up two extra feet with the head board and foot board. I need to change it for something smaller. It's not broken. Aibu to buy yet more stuff? I will probably have to buy a new one as well because it's a TEMPUR so not sure if I can find one second hand.
I feel bad for the planet.

If you sell the one you've got nothing is going to landfill. I doubt the one you buy will be made to order and will last years presumably?

No not made to order it will be too expensive
I think I need a divan base, the information out there on bases which are compatible is pretty vague
I don't want to buy a TEMPUR brand one but maybe I can find one on eBay and pick it up

I will try to sell my current one. One of the legs snapped off of it when we had new floor put down in the summer and it was pulled on the carpet
I don't know if it can be fixed. We have recipe books under the broken leg at the moment 🤭 I wouldn't have gotten rid of it for that it's just the space thing that's getting on my nerves
