They are great. Better than overpriced ipads. We have three between us.

My 7 and 10 year old both have one..they use them for netlfix, games and have never complained about them.

YourVagesty · 20/02/2020 21:33

I love mine! Fiddled with it when I first got it so that I could have the app store on it (easy) and to disable the adverts. It's been smooth sailing since then.

Why not save up the cash and buy without credit. YABU.

Be aware that amazon Fire tablets become faulty easily. We have had 6 in our time

Not my experience at all. Have 4 in the house. Oldest 2 are 8 years old and still working as new. No problems at all with any of them

kingkuta · 20/02/2020 21:48

TheMaskedTulip it's not credit. Amazon just let you pay in monthly instalments, interest free.
Not that difficult to understand this might suit some peoples budget is it!!

DS has one and it's really decent, particularly as I also pay for the fire for kids subscription- obviously the OP won't need this though.

Good for watching stuff as decent screen and sound quality.

The only drawback is that not all Android apps work on it- in our case the bloody Furby connect app which did work on DS's previous kindle fire 8 HmmAngry.
