To just shit on the floor instead?

As my username suggests, I am blooming tired.

Just moved into a new lovely home. One dd, been with dh for 4 years now and I thought that he'd be okay with sitting at a bloody table like a normal family!!!

He insists that we sit at the sofa, Dd13 wants to eat in her room.
That is how our old home had been like and I want to sit at the table for once!!!
Is it too much to ask?? Shall we all just bloody sit on the floor to eat instead??

Sorry for the rant but I am fuming. Angry

Thanks OP, lovely antidote to the rest of life today Thanks

madcatladyforever · 12/02/2020 21:05

I've never sat round a table with the family, any kind of eating noise pisses me off. We all just ate where we wanted. Apart from Christmas.

Supertrooper98 · 12/02/2020 21:06

🤣

Supertrooper98 · 12/02/2020 21:07

I had to suppress laughter at the poster who thought the OP was too tired to go to the toilet so wanted to shit on the floor instead

squiglet111 · 12/02/2020 21:08

I'm crying with laughter 😂😂

Classics!!

Lunafortheloveogod · 12/02/2020 21:09

Jesus woman sit where you want to.. but please don’t shit on the floor I’m 99% sure they’ll never eat dinner with you again if that’s your solution.

Maybe do some “buffet” like dinners or dippy things, build your own .. catch the drift here like plates of stuff on the table for fajitas. So there’s meals they effectively need to eat at the table occasionally.

Chinks123 · 12/02/2020 21:09

Aw op, we never eat at the table either. Our old house was tiny so we didn’t have a dining table, so when we bought our house I bought a big table and said we would all eat together Friday nights and weekends (dp is working weekdays) It happened once, and hasn’t since Hmm dp saw it as a novelty, but prefers to eat in his “office.”

SleightOfMind · 12/02/2020 21:14

That’s brilliant!
Typo aside, There are 6 of us here and DH and I both work.
Everyone who is home at 6.30 sits down and eats together at the table. No screens, toys or books.

TheMemoryLingers · 12/02/2020 21:17

Ha ha ha! Grin.

CupoTeap · 12/02/2020 21:19

I say shit on the floor, then he will know how serious you are

MrSnowmansCarrotStickNose · 12/02/2020 21:24

If they're going to eat where they like then you can shit where you like Grin

Strictly1972 · 12/02/2020 21:32

@Supertrooper98 kids could do that to a person 🤣

I once suffered an erm accident and was coming on this thread in hope of finding a kindred spirit. It wasn't meant to be.

itbemay1 · 12/02/2020 21:49

I thought this was going to a missing toilet in bathroom thread!

knowsmorethansnow · 12/02/2020 22:28

Who cooks? If you only cook meals that are to be eaten at the table. If he wants it I the sofa he doesn't get it. But why can't you eat at the table with your dd even if he won't?

Nifflernancy · 12/02/2020 22:35

Definitely shit on the floor, that will show the bastard!!!

AvocadoAdvocate · 13/02/2020 14:15

Sorry your thread got derailed OP, but I haven't laughed so much at a typo since "boil in the vag" Grin. I agree with you about sitting at the table though!

flowerpower18 · 13/02/2020 14:17

This made me laugh out loud!

GoodnightJude1 · 13/02/2020 14:19

I was expecting this to be so much more exciting.....Grin

PhilCornwall1 · 13/02/2020 14:37

We eat in the lounge watching TV. The boys will sometimes eat at the table. The only thing I use the dining room table for is work, as I work from home.

I've never shit on the floor though, not even when I had a bad case of Bombay Bum.
