heath48 · 12/02/2020 17:36

Yes,watching,plenty on Twitter about him!!

iklboo · 12/02/2020 17:37

Just turned over. Which one?

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 12/02/2020 17:40

Yeah, he’s annoying me.

Did you see the contestant who was asked “which of the 5 senses would you use to spy on someone” and she replied “nose” Hmm

iklboo · 12/02/2020 17:41

Never mind - I think I know Grin

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 12/02/2020 17:44

Just noticed that he’s playing for the lower offer. Never understand when the 4th contestant does that. Even if he gets caught they would still each have a shot at £1000 in the final

SnorkMaiden81 · 12/02/2020 17:55

Where THE FUCK did they find this geezer???

iklboo · 12/02/2020 18:12

Didn't he do well 😂

SegregateMumBev · 12/02/2020 18:15

Player in seat 4 should do whatever it takes to get back to a team, even if it's a low or minus offer.

If there's no team, cos everyone else is out, Player 4 should go high. Cos worst case scenario they get a chance to play for £1k each.

No logic to today's Player 4, playing for a miserable £241.

AutumnCrow · 12/02/2020 18:17

He's using it as some kind of 'showcase' for his dating ambitions, I think. Or hospital radio.

APatchyTomCat · 12/02/2020 18:18

Isn't he the guy who's always on the Matthew Wright/ Jeremy Vine show

Buddyelf · 12/02/2020 18:20

I’ve seen his face before but couldn’t place it - then I saw on twitter someone mention he’s always in the audience for The Wright Stuff/Jeremy Vine and he is. Trying to make himself some sort of celebrity I think. Irritating man

85notout · 12/02/2020 18:27

Some of the people who gone on it are so daft, I wonder how on earth they get through the initial screening.

TomeOfSomething · 12/02/2020 18:37

I didnt see the end, how did it go?

OP posts:
heidbuttsupper · 12/02/2020 18:41

I thought he was some PR from Weatherspoons

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 12/02/2020 18:42

He was playing for £241, got 8 in the final chase and was caught with over a minute left

Doggybiccys · 12/02/2020 18:46

V strange chap. I predicted he’d get 6 - he’d pause for about 4 seconds then say “pass”. I mean you either know Japanese artists or you don’t!

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 12/02/2020 18:46

Isn't he the guy who's always on the Matthew Wright/ Jeremy Vine show

Yes, his name is Andrew Edwards. For some reason, Jeremy always refers to him by his full name whereas the other audience regulars (such as Joseph and his amazing technicolor suits!) are just addressed/mentioned by their first names.

Disquieted1 · 12/02/2020 18:48

Every single day he's in the Jeremy Vine audience. He's probably made it his goal to be on TV more than anyone else and he's achieved it!

iklboo · 12/02/2020 19:01

He said he's an author but I can't find anything. Plenty of books by another guy by the same name, but nothing from him? Unless he uses a pseudonym.

Piffle11 · 12/02/2020 19:28

This is so weird, because we were watching this as we were cooking dinner and I said to DH: I don’t know why but I really can’t stand that man! There are some people you just take against immediately… He just seemed very over-confident/cocky - the sort of person who thinks everyone likes them. I said to DH, ‘why has he gone for such a ridiculously low offer?’ But I guess he didn’t want the attention taking away from him if the other contestants were involved. He would have got more if the audience had done a whip-round.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 12/02/2020 19:39

He just looked strange
lol
I can't put my finger on it but very odd.

He also was not that great either . Don't they sort of vet contestants ?

Maverick66 · 12/02/2020 19:45

Yes always on Jeremy Vine.
When pressed on what sort of author he is, he revealed, he has written a book on travel..............his travels around England to be precise.

However, I'd say he's harmless and just does this for his 'fifteen minutes of fame' 🤷‍♀️

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 12/02/2020 21:58

But I guess he didn’t want the attention taking away from him if the other contestants were involved.

Yes, it's a very silly thing to do indeed in his privileged position in seat 4. If he'd gone with the middle or even the higher offer, he could have hoped that his luck just might be in, safely in the knowledge that, if he doesn't get through, they all get another chance to win £1K each.

Realistically, he was guaranteed the chance to have a crack at winning £1K for himself, so why ever would he go for less than a quarter of that?

The only thing stopping him would have been that the team might have chosen somebody else to represent the team in the final round instead of him, if he was after his day in the sun. It's rather vain and selfish if he stopped and thought about it, though - giving up a guaranteed £4K prize pot in favour of £241, just to keep the glory for himself.

TomeOfSomething · 13/02/2020 07:18

I think what grated for me, was all his conversation sounded staged and rehearsed

OP posts:
WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 13/02/2020 10:07

That's how he always talks. It might just be his natural way, or he might have a neurological condition that presents like that - or he might just be one of life's grandstanders. No idea.

He wasn't very popular with Yasmin AB on Jeremy Vine yesterday, with his views on deporting criminals who've lived in the UK since childhood.

He popped up on Question Time once - not as a panellist(!), but he asked a question from the audience.
