To leave the washing up to DH?

DH cooked dinner so I started to wash up (the large pots and other things that wouldn't go in the dishwasher).

He then proceeded to criticise my washing up technique. After ignoring a warning from me I have now left the kitchen telling him that if he didn't like the way I washed dishes he could do them himself.

AIBU?

YANBU. Go and chill.

What's your washing up routine though because that could change things. Is there a massive drip feed? Wink geddit

He criticized your washing up technique? Sounds like my dad, so
who always criticizes how other people load the dishwasher! YANBU.

My technique:

Big sink full of piping hot water.
Lots of suds
Rubber gloves
Wash dishes
Stack to dry

DH's technique:

Measly amount of water and suds
No rubber gloves
Wash dish in shallow puddle
Rinse under barely running tap
Stack to dry

We have been married nearly 15 years and he's only now decided my washing up technique is an issue.

And he did the dishes tonight Smile
