AIBU taking DS to Thailand for 6 days

I am flying to Phuket soon with a short stop in Bangkok. I have obviously heard all the news about the Coronavirus but I think fears are overblown, especially since I am not going to China. I am not going to cancel this holiday that I booked many months ago and that cost me close to 2K!

The father of my 4yo thinks I should not take any risk with DS and cancel. He also says I am more at risk because I have a complicated medical history. But I genuinely think the risk is low.

I wouldn't. It's in the UK now anyway!

As in I wouldn't cancel 🤦‍♀️

I'm usually pretty pragmatic and have travelled lots but I'd be having second thoughts about taking a 4-yr-old to Phuket atm.

I wouldn't cancel. (I would be very envious though!)

Tell him you’ve swapped it for a trip to Brighton.

It’s in the U.K. already.

No way would I cancel unless something changes very dramatically in the interim. You're just as at risk here and as long as you have good insurance I know where I'd rather be quarantined if it came down to it! Thai hospitals are great btw!

I wouldn't cancel unless it suddenly escalated (in Thailand). My dad has been living in Chiang Mai and has just flown back for a long trip with no concern.
