👋 hi
Long time lurker- first time post so please bear with me.
Just wondering what the consensus is, the person I though was my Best friend (friend since childhood) I introduced and thought of as my sister has let me down badly. IMO obviously- I have a beautiful DD who has a rare degenerative condition, life limiting and I’m struggling tbh- also have a another young child, work in a stressful job, commute, not much money etc etc.
I basically haven’t from said friend in nearly a year; we were meant to meet up for a significant birthday (mine) but she cancelled as something “popped up”.
I really struggle and always did my upmost to be there for her so find this so hurtful.
When we were initially diagnosed I didn’t hear from her for months also. She knows I don’t have a huge circle of support around me and I guess doesn’t care. AIBU to have expected more from a supposedly life long best friend?

No you are not being unreasonable to have expected more. She doesn’t sound like a very nice person and sounds like an even worse friend. With your lifestyle, you sound like you have little time to spare. Don’t waste it on her. Flowers
