I've lit the leftover mulled wine scented candles, and am watching the Gavin and Stacey special with a glass of wine. Feels tragic but triumphant....

Sounds glorious to me!

If it makes you feel better, why not? I sometimes pretend it's autumn (my favourite season by leaps and bounds), especially during the hottest, most oppressive part of summer. Just imagining that it's nice and cool sometimes helps.

I'm still in my pj's, finishing off the Baileys Grin

Lovely plans everyone! Wine's gone but I've got chocolate and leftover pickles that I might have with cheese and crackers after the DC are in bed!

You’ve inspired me to light fire and some candles. Got a roast in oven.

Squirrelblanket · 09/02/2020 18:14

How weird that you've posted this. We've just had the Christmas pudding we didn't eat and my sister messaged to say they are all watching Elf at her house. Grin

Positive side effect of the storm is that it has sent everyone into cosy hibernation mode (me included!)

Femail · 09/02/2020 18:41

I work in retail and was like it was xmas eve with everyone panic buying Hmm

checkingforballoons · 09/02/2020 19:09

I already had a Christmas wax tart burning but this thread has reminded me that we have a pudding in the cupboard...

Poptartfart · 09/02/2020 20:17

My DD opened some Christmas cards addressed to her I found in a bag while tidying up! She opened them and they are on display!

Poptartfart · 09/02/2020 22:11

I love this! Newly-opened Christmas cards! I'm going to bed now... Maybe santa will have been in the morning? Grin

I cooked a roast, drank red wine, wore tracksuits bottoms and a t-shirt, ate chocolate, lit candles, watched telly and had a large port. Off to bed now, it’s been a fabulous Christmas!

Poptartfart · 09/02/2020 22:15

Ho ho ho!
