Doctors ask me this on every admission. Have you an appetite. I say yes.

Today I've noticed that I haven't eaten really for about 5 days apart from a mouthful or two of a shepherds pie two days running and a bag of crisps.
So. I was reading a thread and it mentioned something about fish and chips - so my brain said - oooooh that would be nice - then my body instantly sort of froze at the thought of food?

I've had vomiting and diarrhoea for a few days, so my brain probably is afraid of food. I've taken loperadine (or something that sounds like that ) and the diarrhoea has stopped miraculously.

But now the thought of food seems to make my body repulse?

I don't feel hungry in my body. But I do feel hungry in my brain? That make any sense?
Probably help if I stopped talking about it!

I'm not sure what your AIBU is?

Do you have a stomach bug? If so, then yes, losing your appetite would be normal

OP, can you explain what you mean by 'on every admission'? Do you have a longer history of food/stomach related illnesses or are these admissions unrelated?
