By pathetic I mean like the one I saw today on a local FB page.

"Are the buses still running?"
Now where we are its windy but not blow you off your feet fallen trees kind of windy. Plus you are on FB just check the bus companies website ffs.

Cue lots of:
OMG dont go out at all hun.
Stay safe people.
It's too dangerous weather warnings in so and so city...which is 300 miles from where we are.
Planes are struggling so buses will too!

1 poster stated it was windy but not enough to stop buses from running.
She was then called various names and accused of wanting people to get killed by the wind Hmm

There seems to be so much more panic and dramatic responses to what are quite normal things these days.
This happens when ever there is bad weather or a strange looking person is seen walking past a school or park.
Yes I know its FB and I need to get a life but I wondered if some people have always reacted this way and SM makes it more visible or is this a generational thing as it does seem to be the younger than me crowd?

It's Facebook people love drama ,like when people mark themselves as safe when catastrophic events happen no.where near where they are

YABU

if you post around here, people are able to tell you which road is currently closed, you won't find that online.

FB is a fabulous tool to keep people updated and not isolated, and the beauty of it?
You don't have to go on it or you can just scroll posts that are of no interest to you at all.

A bit like this forum really... so YABU

Roads closed I get.

It's the are the buses still running that's seems ridiculous when you can just look on the company website followed by the "stay safe hun" and dont leave the house posts.

YANBU, it’s the “U ok hun” brigade in full flow. Still, it’s a useful way of determining life’s idiots.
