To avoid the doctor?

Short story even shorter - need smear test but don't like the idea of sitting in doctor's waiting room as Coronavirus just found in this region (not in UK) and my instincts tell me to put off all non-urgent care for a few weeks. AIBU?

Go and have your smear test, Corona virus risk is tiny at the moment, but if it comes, it will be here for months.

YABU. Get your smear done. Take anti bacterial hand gel with you and don't let anybody cough on you(!)

I'm sure the gp surgery will be taking precautions where necessary.

Book first appt of the day if you're worried. The waiting room will be pretty empty then!

Don't put off your smear test. Wait outside the waiting room and get then to come and get you if necessary.

Anti bacterial hand gel won't act on viruses. Just remember to wash your hands frequently.
