Horror movies

My husband and son (14) love horror movies.
I do not.

Well, I don’t mind the old ones: Friday 13th; Halloween; Scream etc and I really like thrillers and paranormal or psychological thrillers ... but I really can’t watch the gory ones like Saw; Hostel etc

Anyway, I hate clowns. I mean, they really frighten me. I know it’s childish, but I really do feel tearfully scared of them...similar to how I feel about spiders. Combined with horror, I do not want to watch IT. My husband and son are nagging and trying to pressure me to watch it.

They’ve seen IT, I didn’t stop them watching and I never make them watch rom-coms, so I feel really cross that they are trying to make me feel bad.

For instance, it’s Saturday night and I’m cooking enchiladas. I recorded ‘Cool Runnings’ for us to watch together. They’ve now put on IT Fallen, meaning I am taking my dinner off to another room. I feel pissed off and left out.

I hate horror films too, never got why people like them, what you see stays with me for a long time and makes me feel jumpy. Yanbu they sounds a bit inconsiderate. I would insist next time you watch a film together that its your turn to pick.

I love horror films, however I wouldn’t try and bully someone into watching them. They are being inconsiderate and quite mean. I would just tell them straight what you have said here.
