How can I make Onion Rings?

Im making burgers tonight and fancy making onion rings ... the ones in batter. What flour should I use for the batter

Whatever flour you've got knocking round in the cupboard.

I use self-raising. Around a cup of flour, just under half a can of beer, some cornflour, bit of salt/pepper/paprika and mix into a batter. Dip the onion rings and then fry until crispy.
