First time in many, many years, that I am single on Valentine’s Day. Strictly speaking, husband & I haven’t formally separated yet, but he knows my plans, & emotionally and in every way but formally/legally I am single.
I have cried buckets over this marriage over the years, and now emotionally at least, I am free of it. Can’t help but feel like this is a turning point & a very positive step.
I thought I would be sad and bereft.. oh contraire!
