Husband blows nose in the shower

Puddypuddy · 07/02/2020 21:46

If my husband is out in the garden or out jogging he blows his by placing one finger over his nostril and clears out the other one.He does the same when washing his face on while in the shower.
It really bugs me!!It's disgusting!!I'd be embarrassed if anyone had to use our shower. There is "snot" all over the glass door.Husband has bad eye sight so can't see it.
Is this a normal male habit,am I overreacting?

Wtf?

And you have sex with this man?

Why on earth isn’t he cleaning the shower after he snots all over the glass?

1Morewineplease · 07/02/2020 21:51

It’s disgusting, he needs glasses and he needs to clear up his mess.
Poor eyesight is not an excuse.
To clear your nose , in that way, in public, is appalling. That’s how diseases spread.

Sad face. Grim!

SproutMuncher · 07/02/2020 21:56

He doesn’t even clean the door?

itsamood · 07/02/2020 21:56

I wouldn’t mind him doing it in the shower if he cleaned it.

Outside? Meh. Couldn’t care less

TinyPop14 · 07/02/2020 21:57

Absolutely not! My ex used to do this in the bathroom sink and would never clean it properly, it was disgusting. I would be the one left to clean it because I would have been mortified if any visitors saw it. He didn't see a problem with it but it made me sick.

Floribundance · 07/02/2020 21:58

Mine did this. I’d recommend Cillit Bang and/or divorce.

Wereallsquare · 07/02/2020 21:59

Oh God, I sympathise. What is it with people (mostly men) expelling bodily fluids in such disgusting ways? Your husband takes the cake, though. The shower? I could not take it.

Puddypuddy · 07/02/2020 22:02

He says that all sports men do it!!😬😬😬

Shouldbedoing · 07/02/2020 22:04

That wont be the only thing hes doing in the shower.

NutRoastNancy · 07/02/2020 22:05

Stuff like this makes me very glad I don’t live with a man anymore!

negomi90 · 07/02/2020 22:12

My mum taught me to blow my nose in the shower as the heat softens the snot. So I do. It goes down the drain and my shower certainly isn't covered in snot as that would be gross.

SallySun123 · 07/02/2020 22:21

The term you’re looking for is “snot rocket”. It’s a thing and it’s absolutely savage.

Cocomobile · 07/02/2020 22:24

My dh used to blow his nose in the sink and ‘couldnt see’ it stuck to the bowl. I banned him from doing it. He now occasionally still does it and i will immediately go and tell him to clean it up ASAP as I don’t want to drop anyone’s toothbrush onto it.

Makes me retch when I’m brushing my teeth. Ugh

WTF0ver · 07/02/2020 22:29

If he has to do it, he could blow it into his hand first and then wash it down the drain? /helpful

EmeraldShamrock · 07/02/2020 22:31

Oh fuck no. Vomiting inducing.

TheQueens · 07/02/2020 22:32

Oh that's bloody vile. Sports men do it? It won't turn him into and Olympic athlete I'm afraid....

PepperMooMoo · 07/02/2020 22:34

I blow my nose every time I'm in the shower. There is no snot on the glass though? 🤔

Specialkp · 07/02/2020 22:34

Urgh, I’d literally vomit if I found this in the shower 🤢 That’s really vile - I’m sure I’ve seen footballers do it, but there’s no excuse in regular life?!?

Keanuismine · 07/02/2020 22:38

Disgusting! Footballers do it and it is gross then too.

TokenGinger · 07/02/2020 22:38

Same. I do it into my hand and it washes away. Why waste tissue unnecessarily?

How the hell is he getting it on the shower screen?!

ProclivitiesMcManus · 07/02/2020 22:40

I do this. The angle of emission caused by the position of the human nostril would make physically fucking impossible to get it on the glass or the tiles! If it's going to hit anything it would be my own torso. But in fact it hits the shower tray floor and vanishes in a torrent of water down the drain in about three seconds.

bellalou1234 · 07/02/2020 22:41

My dsd does this makes me ill...

DontCallMeShitley · 07/02/2020 22:49

Does he also spit in the street?
