Would love some advice on my current dilemma.
When me and my boyfriend first got together 4 years ago his brother had a girlfriend who he had been with for 2 years at this point. Me and the girlfriend got on really well and quickly became good friends. However, a year into mine and my boyfriends relationship they broke up.
I carried on being mates with her and meeting up with her up until my bfs brother met his new girlfriend....
Out of respect to him and his new girlfriend I've not been messaging his ex! To be fair she hasn't been in contact with me either but I'm not sure if that's because shes seen pictures of me with this new girlfriend and has taken offence.
I'm wondering if I should message the ex and just explain my situation and try and rekindle our friendship..its a really difficult one. I'm actually good friends with his new girlfriend now so I just feel so awkward. I dont know if I should just leave it with the ex now and move on but I just feel so much guilt and what would I even say to her now?? Would I still be able to meet up with her ??
What does everyone advise ?? Can you still be mates with your boyfriends brothers ex when he has a new girlfriend ?
