@mojitosfordays - I agree!!!! Secret bars were fantastic - I seriously miss them

SlippersAndThePaper · 04/02/2020 22:29

54321 bars.

turnedabout · 04/02/2020 22:30

Oh, and Piramints, remember them a pyramid shaped lump of chocolate, bite the top off and suck the green mint goo out of it.

RhubarbBikini · 04/02/2020 22:36

After Eight ice cream bar, found in the freezer section right between the walls viennetta and the artic rolls.

LongstantonSpiceMuseum · 04/02/2020 22:37

CHOCKLES - this cereal that was like mini chocolate cornflake cake clusters with marshmallows. Ridiculously sweet - no-one ever remembers it.

Recently gone - Sainsburys Chocolate & Kirsch yoghurt. Any chocolate yoghurt I'm bound to love but with kirsch cherry stuff it was amazing. It was a real little treat so of course they stopped making it.

SirVixofVixHall · 04/02/2020 22:47

Weedsnseeds those Spangles were called Old English. They were lovely.

DontCallMeShitley · 04/02/2020 22:56

What I miss most is proper white sliced bread, Wonderloaf and Sunblest, made with flour not a mix of flour and soya or chickpea flour, and with butter or maybe oil but no sign of palm oil or any weird ingredients.

Vulgarlady · 04/02/2020 22:59

Geetas pineapple chutney. Sort of marmalade’s in texture with spices

Ooh thanks tall I hope they're still as thick as doorsteps (they probably never were, but kids, Wagon Wheel perspective etc).

tobee · 04/02/2020 23:04

Yes to Terry's Neapolitans. I thought they were the height of sophistication when I was about 8.

Mint Cracknell.

Quality Street with the old flavours Peanut Cracknell, all the toffees, Montelimar etc.

HandsOffMyLangCleg · 04/02/2020 23:05

When I was a child the chocolate on Chocolate Animals was so thick and satisfying and the biscuits bigger - I'd scrape my teeth down the grooves.

Now they are tiny and pathetic..

Notanalien · 04/02/2020 23:06

Raspberry nesquik

tobee · 04/02/2020 23:07

Ooh and Midnight Mint choc ices as pp said. I used to pop one in a mug of hot choc occasionally! Yum!

SidneyPrescott · 04/02/2020 23:09

I came on here to say a Snowflake but now I want a Marble so badly I'd be willing to swap a kidney for one.

Damn you, Mumsnet!

loobyloo1234 · 04/02/2020 23:10

The old Tizer. I loved that stuff when I was hungover

Nearlyoldenoughtowearpurple · 04/02/2020 23:10

Ski orange yoghurts , used to be my staple lunch item at school.

Sixgeese · 04/02/2020 23:11

Pacers, yummy sort chewy mints the same shape as opal fruits. Every school holiday outing my DM brought a pack of opal fruits and a pack of pacers for us to share.

DontCallMeShitley · 04/02/2020 23:12

Original Complan, before they removed the gloopiness and made it like some kind of slimline drink.

It was thick and creamy and filling and made a nice bedtime drink. Then they 'improved' it. Not bought it since, it was foul.

Taddda · 04/02/2020 23:12

Yes to bringing back the Spira - used to drink my tea through one as a kid and eat just before meltage....
Oh and what's happened to chicken and mushroom pot noodles!!? I've not had one for years, but felt poorly last week and all I fancied but they seem to have taken all of the flavour out of it!!?
