... CONSTANTLY coughing and hacking your lungs up at your desk, then you should probably just go home, to try to stop the spread of germs AND annoyance amongst the rest of the team??

SO annoying/selfish.

That does sound annoying.

Problem is, some coughs last weeks. My last one did. I made the effort to cough into my elbow but there was no way I could stay at home all that time.

Some contractor I worked with came into work with whooping cough and told everyone he had it. I was seven months pregnant and he sat behind me.

I wasn’t worried as I had a jab in pregnancy for it, I also get that only got paid if he worked - BUT I was pissed that no manager sent him home. I would presume no one else was protected against it as the jab only lasts about ten years.

Any constant coughing, or sniffing really gets me going. My neighbour coughs 24/7 every day of the year. It’s every 30 seconds and I hear her every time I’m in the garden. She only 30-40 and works. She must have some lung disease but it just really irritates me irritationally.
