Childhood dream job VS now?

I always wanted to be a vet when I was a child. I work for my local council in the housing department. Did anyone fulfil their childhood dream or are they doing something very different now?

I wanted to be a newsreader on the radio, then a news photographer, then a war correspondent or documentary filmmaker. I pursued photojournalism for a while, but it’s bloody hard to break into if you’re female, from a working class background, and have no connections.

My actual job title now is Estate Manager.

I wanted to be a nun - despite coming from a family of Atheists.
I work at an insurance company.
Sound of music has a lot to answer for
