Fireworks

Not necessarily an AIBU but posting here for traffic.

When people set off fireworks in their gardens, is it usual for all the debris to end up all over their neighbours gardens?

It seems our neighbours like to set off fireworks at every opportunity, which leaves our garden strewn with the debris. We have artificial grass and one piece was actually slightly melted to the grass.

I'm concerned that when we have garden furniture out in the summer there's risk of a firework landing on it and ruining it. Also, what if we are in the garden when it all comes raining down?

We don't mind the fireworks themselves and it seems unreasonable to ask them not to ever have fireworks but, at the same time, I don't see why we should clean up after them and run the risk of bits of our garden being ruined.

What does mumsnet think?
