Hi ok im new to mums net but what the hell is DD/DS/AIBU etc mean. cant we just say son/daughter/child etc.

YABU (you are being unreasonable) to use RNBF without explanation @HRA1971 and yet expect thousands of others to change their practice just because it doesn’t suit you. And FYI (for your information) everyone can DWTW (do what they want), YCTWYWNC (you can type what you want nobody cares).
And from your username IPALOTY (I’m probably a lot older then you) but I manage ok.

I don't like them very much either OP. I think it can get confusing when there's a long post involving sisters,sons,daughters,dogs,dads etc. It's the way things are done around these here parts though and some mumsnetters get very defensive if you say anything negative about their DA's as you may have noticed .
