Pain before period start

Any one experienced pain before period. Due any day, have a pinching pulling occasionally sharp pain on the left coming and going, do I need to worry?
Just feel a little off, tired etc

Ovulation does that for me.

So totally normal.

I've recently been getting really bad back pain on the left side about a week before my period. I only get cramps when I'm ovulating (I assume it's that anyway!). Still here, think it's normal.

Thanks for replies have googled and it suggests all sorts. Had cramps before but not a sharp pain come and go on one side. Not ovulation as period due today/tomorrow

I get pain before I see anything. For me it's mostly on the right side in the same place my friends appendix removal scar is. That shit me up the first few times, thought my appendix was about explode. Get other random annoying pains too, like burning legs and spasms up the pooper. Period pain can be a right random bitch and blood doesn't have to be visible either. I've unfortunately found that one out as I race headlong towards the menopause and my periods have become a bit erratic and sometimes very light when I used to get extremely heavy ones.

The familiar pains are how I know to make sure I have sanpro to hand.

I do still get random other pains with it too.

There is no normal with periods, everyone's got their own normal. You just need years to get used to what your own normal is. Online research does help but it's not always definitive and doesn't apply to all us vagina people equally.

Hi, just an update i think I've had an early miscarriage, period was 2 days late started with brown discharge. Pain felt like the pain when I went in with my son at 8cm dialated. I was also sick as well and whilst being ill had funny flashes in my vision. Have passed small flesh like stuff plus couple of clots. But feel better now. Has anyone been through this do I need to see a doctor?
