Should I swim tonight or not...

I have worked today 9.15 until 4pm. DS is being picked up and going on a sleepover to my Mum's.

Do I:

A) Go home, have a sleep til about 630. Then go swimming 8-8.45.
or
B) Go home, sleep and stay at home and give the swimming a miss.

I don't usually work Fridays - I scaled my days from 5 to 4 due to having ME. Today is a rare overtime.

I want to go swimming but also, 8pm... i could be glass of vino in hand by then watching telly. And who wants to go back out once they have taken their bra off afterall?!

YABU - Go swimming
YANBU - Stay home.

Maybe go from work straight to swimming. But definitely go swimming. Did you ever come out of the pool and think 'well, I wish I hadn't done that', I'm guessing not. Go swimming and have your glass of vino at 9pm feeling virtuous.

It's a swimming lesson so I can't go straight from work unfortunately.

I think maybe you are right. I do enjoy the swimming. And coming out of the shower after swimming into fresh clothes.

Is your leg ok now?

positivity123 · 31/01/2020 15:21

Go swimming. You will feel fantastic after and it will set you up for the weekend and make your weekend feel longer as you've made the most of your Friday night

cjt110 · 31/01/2020 15:21

@PurpleDaisies Still sore and numbish. No results yet from the nerve tests.

Find a mate, have an evening out?

PurpleDaisies · 31/01/2020 15:22

I would worry a bit about going while your leg is still numb and you don’t have a reason. Did your doctor give you any advice regarding exercise?

cjt110 · 31/01/2020 15:39

No no advice regarding exercise.

I never take off my bra until i go to bed

feelingverylazytoday · 31/01/2020 16:27

I would always go swimming if it was humanly possible.
You can always have your wine afterwards.

Genuinely thought this was a Brexit thread and you were tempted to swim the Channel to get away from it....

I vote home and tv/wine/takeaway/early night.

Must be difficult taking a shower?

CountFosco · 31/01/2020 23:27

Shower in the morning before getting dressed obv.

Did you go swimming?

cjt110 · 01/02/2020 07:25
