I was at sainsburys earlier. I picked up a medical product to read the packet. Something obscure.

Now I'm home. Thay exact product has just popped up as an advert on MN.

That is definitely freaky

I had something similar - I spoke to my Letting Agency on the phone about a problem with our roof and she told me the name of the Roofer they would be sending to have a look at the issue. I think I probably repeated his name out loud during the phone call as I was writing his details down on a bit of paper - but at no point did I type his name into my laptop or phone.

Later that evening, I logged onto Facebook and who should be the first person on my 'People You May Know', suggested friends list? Yep, the bloody Roofer! We have no friends in common, so I can only assume that FB have bugged my house (no, we do not have an Alexa).

There is definitely something freaky going on OP, but at least you're not alone!

I always think this is weird too but is it likely the ad got your attention purely because you were looking at the product earlier. My and my dh we’re discussing baby names the other week and and ad for personalised things came up on Facebook with the same name (not popular) but I think it stood out because of our conversation.

A friend and I were sat next to a swimming pool and talking about pool side showers. Her iPad was on the table next to her.
Later on when she was using her iPad adverts for pool showers popped up.
Not exactly everyday items.
