Okay so I am 19 + 3 weeks pregnant and I have constantly had UTIs. I’m on my 7 batch of antibiotics, I have picked up my4th consecutive course today. Is it normal? My GP seems to think it is.

@Halloweenbabyy

UTIS are the absolute pits arnt they!!

You are not alone.. With my son I had a UTI almost every time I saw my midwife with urine and was on antibiotics... some woman or more prone to them than others and pregnancy seemed to be my bloody cript tonight 😂😂

As long as you are getting the meds to clear it up it's fine... I just had to keep
Drinking a lot more water to flush it out and not use scented shower wash down below
Xx

Oh you poor thing. Have you tried d-mannose? Brilliant natural remedy.

D-mannose has changed my life. Have alook at the sweet cures website. Just check that it is OK to take when pregnant, I don't know about that bit.
Apologies if you know all this already but as long term UTI sufferer, this is what i have found to work to keep infections at bay. If no infection:-
make sure you wee after sex (and also take the d-mannose).
if you feel a bit iffy - before bed, have a wee, then take d-mannose in a bit of water
make sure you clean your bits every day. some people swear by bottle washing after going to the toilet. i don't go that far but do shower underneath every day.
change your underwear if you feel a bit iffy
always wear cotton underwear
avoid tight jeans
cut down/cut out caffeine
drink hot water instead of cold
take a probiotic.

If you feel like you have an infection
take d-mannose 4 times a day including before bed.
drink a normal amount. Drinking too much isn't good.
wee when you need to.
ibruprofen takes edge off a bit better than paracetamol (not sure again about pregnancy)
Hot water bottle helps.

I am not in the same situation as you. I'm perimenopausal and started to get more infections. I took a lot of antibiotics between 2016/18 and got fed up with it. Since following my above regime have been infection clear for nearly a year.
