To want all the Brexit threads moved to the Brexit section

Don’t care which side of the fence - can we just move all gloating, despair and vitriol. It’s not as if there is anything new being said.

See also fucking coronavirus panic or don’t threads

Agree. Blatant Brexit threads disguised as AIBU pisses me off.

littlepaddypaws · 31/01/2020 12:40

yanbu op, all rehashed repeated, twisted round, added to so now it's the truth then in rl it's all utter crap.

HelgaHere1 · 31/01/2020 12:53

Yes, move them

AriadnesFilament · 31/01/2020 12:55

Agreed. Move all of them. There’s a specific section, use it. I’m sick of seeing them.

essayist · 31/01/2020 12:56

Yes, move them to a special place in hell.

ilovesooty · 31/01/2020 12:57

There are plenty of AIBU threads that are not AIBU, not just Brexit ones.

windycuntryside · 31/01/2020 12:59

Can we stop policing the posting choice of others ...
just kidding. Sort of.

We tried that. Then people whined that it was their right to repeat themselves over and over so it was changed to they'll be moved if the OP allows it. I just hide them as they pop up now.

Hingeandbracket · 31/01/2020 13:15

I haven’t worked out how to hide them on my phone yet - it only seems to work on the desktop app. Mumsnet’s IT is hilarious.

OP posts:
crustycrab · 31/01/2020 13:30

And yet you've started another thread Hmm

To hide this thread I'll be swiping left and clicking "hide"

DontMakeMeShushYou · 31/01/2020 13:41

YABVU to have posted this in AIBU when there's a perfectly good section for it to go in. Next time post in Site Stuff. Practice what you preach. 'Do as I say, not as I do' is never a good way to get your message across.

x2boys · 31/01/2020 13:45

Agreed I have had to.hide countless threads recently ,but this will.to the same way as every other one ,it's to important to relegate to Brexit section etc etc

JosefKeller · 31/01/2020 13:46

I was going to write exactly that

YABVU to have posted this in AIBU when there's a perfectly good section for it to go in. Next time post in Site Stuff. Practice what you preach.

Fair point well made, hoist by my own petard

colouringinpro · 31/01/2020 15:15

only if every other thread in Aibu that could be filed away in a section is.

if not, yabu.

ChicChicChicChiclana · 31/01/2020 16:47

I agree. But I'd like to see all non AIBU threads moved as appropriate, I don't see why you think Brexit threads are a special case.

coconuttelegraph · 31/01/2020 16:52

There is next to no point in the topics on MN at all, no one moderates and for some reason so many posters seem not to realise that you don't have to frame every post as an AIBU. As a prime example the thread that was above this one for me on active "I don't like Malteasers" WTAF Confused

@ShamefulBlanket

Exactly!

I get flamed constantly for suggesting folk could actually post on active message boards elsewhere in Talk where there's been 15/20 topics replied to today.

If we're going to move Brexit, we should move "AIBU to ask where's hot to swim in Mediterranean in May", or "AIBU to ask for a good divorce solicitor in Aberdeen?" etc etc, all real topics this week

Some people use AIBU as the middle lane of the Talk section, they sit in it because everyone else is there

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 31/01/2020 23:30

Yes move them. It's tiresome seeing the same old rants and insults pop up. I voted remain, there's no point denigrating people who exercised their political free will to vote the other way. It's just so disgustingly rude.

I wish the threads would go to Brexit and those of us who are fed up can just ignore the knuckle-draggers on both sides.
