Started a new thread on the off chance () that something funny might happen in my street later. Maybe around 10pm...

Diagram below for the handful of people in the country that haven't printed it off yet...

Next time you need a skip, get them to put it in space 1 Grin

I’m finding myself hooked and looking forward to the next instalment. We have someone a bit like B in our block of flats. Makes a drama about the parking and huffs and puffs, moaning to anyone prepared to listen but basically the problem is, she is incapable of parking her car in her allocated space. Thinks she have special consideration because she has a big car and drives down from London every weekend. Err, no. 🤔 I call her Mrs Bucket too but I’ve realised she is a lightweight compared to Batty Bertha of Alphabet Street.

originalcatlady · 31/01/2020 07:42

I was up at 6. Mr B was already downstairs with the blinds open (never a sign of life until 9-10am when on this shift). Oh to have been a fly on the wall last night.

Was he in trouble re not moving workmans sign?

Gooseysgirl · 31/01/2020 07:54

I bet he's under strict instructions to move the car as soon as C leaves...

Butterymuffin · 31/01/2020 07:54

I await developments Grin

TheMobileSiteMadeMeSignup · 31/01/2020 07:57

Morning, OP! Poor Mr B.

Can you chat to the Ks today and get them up to speed on Mrs B so they can try and get home before her tonight!

Not caught up yet, not printed the map off yet but I am considering getting a small, discrete, tattoo of it Wink

Iusedtobeapartygirl · 31/01/2020 08:17

This is brilliant Grin

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/01/2020 08:18

Blimey!

Old one's not fully full and there's SEVEN pages on this one already.

Lefkosia · 31/01/2020 08:20

I live on a road where a few people have drives, there is plenty of space for people to park...but my batshit neighbours are so obsessed with parking outside their own front doors its ridiculous. I park in "their" space whenever possible because they have a drive and I think they are idiots

GruciusMalfoy · 31/01/2020 08:32

Catching up with this thread has prevented me from reading my book past night. What a thriller Grin

I totally understand the crazed parking neighbours, one time my batshit neighbour actually stormed over and opened the car door of an innocent visitor, to tell them off for parking in "his spot". No dedicated parking here either, but generally more than enough room for everyone, outwith school times...

NeverForGood · 31/01/2020 08:34

@TopOftheNaughtyList Did this one I found quite handy.

Thanks for the new thread :)

C has gone. Pink dressing gown has moved to 1/2. The world is at peace again.

You could turn this into a book op! And get the film rights sorted too!

Iwantacookie · 31/01/2020 08:53

Just checking in this morning.
Op did you move the triangle last night?
What time does the action start tonight?

GruciusMalfoy · 31/01/2020 08:54

Was it Mr or Mrs B who moved the car? Poor Mr B must be a nervous wreck!

BaolFan · 31/01/2020 08:56

I'm genuinely baffled by the fact that these women seem to think that they own the public road - and that they can dictate where other people park!

They'd get short shrift road here; parking is at a premium and it's everyone for themselves. If Batshit Beryl tried one of her rants she'd get shut down PDQ.

TheMobileSiteMadeMeSignup · 31/01/2020 09:04

Our road is next to the school but thankfully we rarely have to navigate during the actual drop/pick up times so it doesn't really bother us. The general parking is on-street with no bays marked and if you come home late there are very often cars with half a car length front and back all the way along cos people get home at various times and just dump theirs randomly along the street rather than parking up a bit closer (most of them live up the side terrace so not even trying to be outside their own doors). It's never particularly entertaining though we do have a woman in a little car who gets in a space fine then proceeds to reverse about 4 feet then nudge forward then reverse again a few times even though she was perfectly parked to begin with. If a car has parked fairly close behind her DH will park our beat up 7 seater in front so it's a normal bay length just to see if she manages to get out.

BlueMoonRising · 31/01/2020 09:12

I have a van I rarely drive. I'm thinking of selling it. I would love to park it in B's space for.. Oooh at least a couple of weeks...

sunshinesupermum · 31/01/2020 09:12

I'm so invested that I read the whole of this second thread before attempting to make breakfast ... looking forward to the weekend episode!
