Activities for a student in long summer break

AIBU to think that my Dd should be planning g something with her long summer break. I didn't have student hols when I was training( back in the dark ages!) so I don't have much experience of what still relatively young still relatively penniless students do either her or maybe in Europe. Any ideas or experiences anyone?

I used to just get a job and maybe plan a holiday with mates but assuming you're talking about the summer break i certainly wouldn't be planning it this early! Depending on her career aspirations she may want an internship during her final summer (or to do some voluntary work before that if she doesn't need a job that actually earns) which would obviously need to be applied for. University career service should help with that.
