Has anybody else seen the new doormats popping up everywhere that say 'please hide packages from husband'?

AIBU to think this is massively outdated?

I know it's supposed to be a bit of fun but surely suggesting that a) it's a male / female house and b) women have to hide their spending habits feels terribly outdated.

For a clothing website I use, there are ALOT of women who say they have to hide their packages from their husbands or pretend it’s an old dress that kind of thing. It’s actually surprisingly common from that I can see on there

I think it’s meant to be a joke not to be taken seriously 🤣 I found it quite funny. OH is the main earner here but I’m always ordering things. We have no decent shops where we live so have no choice!
