Not really an AIBU but I think I'd get better responses here.
Long car journey coming up. (14 hours in total 😭)
I need your best driving songs to add to my playlist. Songs that make you happy, songs that you need to belt out, songs that energise you, feel good and love songs.

No matter how foul my mood, if i listen to that it always makes me feel better Smile

Sgtmajormummy · 29/01/2020 15:14
Had this in the car today. Good for long distance driving. Supposedly Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now is the nation’s favourite driving song.
Lifeasweknow · 29/01/2020 15:34

@Sgtmajormummy love that song. Always reminds me of my dad

I know this isn't strictly what you asked for but how about podcasts? We did loads of driving this summer through Europe, and I find DJing a bit exhausting after a while - we listened to all sorts and would really recommend trying a few if you haven't already.

JorahsMistress · 29/01/2020 15:40

@Lifeasweknow in that case you might like this, watch for the dude on the piano Grin

Lifeasweknow · 29/01/2020 15:41

@CoolcoolcoolcoolcoolNoDoubt I actually love podcasts but my husband is not so keen. I might download a few and see if I can make him come around to them. The drive is 14 hours either way, so we are going to need lots to listen to. Great idea.

@JorahsMistress I watch that video all the time 🙈. It makes me really emotional.

JorahsMistress · 29/01/2020 15:47

Me too! Might have go put my headphones on to listen to the soundtrack again now, cant have it quiet and dont want to disturb dd doing her homework 😂

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 29/01/2020 15:50

Meatloaf - Bat out of Hell.

Anything I can sing along to.

AppropriateAdult · 29/01/2020 15:54

The Killers are always good for a driving song. Also Queen, the more upbeat U2, and for some reason I love blasting out The Divine Comedy’s ‘Everybody Knows That I Love You’ when I’m driving.

MrsToothyBitch · 29/01/2020 15:56

Africa by Toto is mine Smile

Lifeasweknow · 29/01/2020 15:57

Great suggestions, thank you.

@MrsToothyBitch no playlist is complete without Africa by Toto

SeamstressfromTreacleMineRoad · 29/01/2020 15:58

Abba - anything by them seems to help my mood Smile

ClientQueen · 29/01/2020 16:00

Mine are always meatloaf, queen and the Beatles for singing along to

muddledmidget · 29/01/2020 16:01

Now have a 3 CD album called Now that's what I call driving, and most of the songs already listed are on it. It really is my favourite for whn I'm on a long journey, particularly by myself where my husband can't moan about my singing/wailing!

Lifeasweknow · 29/01/2020 16:25

Looks like we I will definitely need to download a load of Queen
