Not really AIBU, but I just wanted my post to be visible !

Can you tell me anything about Island life ?

What is a good monthly income after tax?

How often can you get back to the mainland?

There's a few posts in the living overseas section.

Jersey is amazing although I think you might dislike it in the winter. Wet and foggy.

However, the bigger issue is can you relocate to Jersey? They have very strict rules on owning property, which is very expensive anyway.

If you can't buy, rentals are also expensive.

It's a nice idea, one that I have thought about a lot, but it won't happen. DH would like to relocate there for 3 months every summer :)

@cologne4711 we wouldn't be buying a property. We would have a housing allowance included in our employment contacts for the first couple of years. After that if we decided to stay I guess we would consider.

Winters where we live currently are a bit of a wash out so that would be okay!
