We put our home up for sale a week ago but aren’t happy with the estate agents. We haven’t had any interest at all (expected at least one person) and no contact from the agent since going live last Wednesday. Today is the last day of the 14 day cancellation period, wibu to email and cancel tonight? If so what do I write, so far I have this:

With effect from today, Tuesday 28th January 2020, we hereby instruct you to stop marketing our property.

I want to put something about the 14 day period. If I don’t cancel today we will be stuck in a 6months sole agency contract with them.

Cancel if you are unhappy however at this stage you are outside working hours so they may not take the notice as being received until tomorrow.

@zeb81 I am worried about that too.

Worst case scenario arrange a meeting as to how they can fulfill their contractual obligations so you are happy

I am writing to cancel our contract for you to market out property. Please acknowledge receipt and confirm that there will be no fees as today is the 14th and last day we can cancel.

Kind regards
