Birthday Gift

It was my birthday recently & a friend bought me a Michael Kors watch, a very expected gift. Without wishing to sound ungrateful, it's really not my style but I dont want to upset her by saying so. What would you do?

Unexpected, I assume you meant?

Be polite. Don't say anything. Occasionally wear it when you see her. Be grateful she was so generous and cherish the friendship even if you don't love the gift. In a couple of years, donate it to a charity shop.

I wouldn't do anything.

I would just say thank you and wear occasionally when im seeking her.

I'd wear when I'm seeing her and tell her I love it.

Nothing you can do except thank her effusively. They are horrible, though - do you think she might have been re-gifting a Christmas present? Don't feel too guilty if you don't wear it
