To want to hack my own anus off? (Piles.... TMI)

Name changed for this to something more apt.

After the birth of my DD (5) I’ve had what I would call very mild piles ever since.

But recently had a miscarriage (at 11 weeks) and for some reason they have been terrible ever since. I am in virtual agony with them. Anusol is doing chuff all.

I’ve searched loads of threads on here and time and time again Scheriproct ointment comes up. I decided to buy some from online pharmacy.

Did the purchase, all good, on the actual site the photo of the product was a tube of ointment.

In my confirmation email it says it’s 12 suppositories!!!

Will they still work????

Off for a warm bath to ease the pain in MY ACTUAL ASS

OP try cicatridina suppositories on amazon,is on the pricey side but worth it. Is the only thing that keeps me alive at the moment. Who knew giving birth can actually mess someone's body so bad.🙄

Knobblybobbly · 28/01/2020 00:37

Ok I’ll give the Scheriproct stuff a whirl and if no joy try that next.

I can’t believe I’m still awake. Must try to ignore the pain now and sleep.

Ok, so I’m quite the expert when it comes to farmer Giles.

Got them when pg with dd1, 16 years ago, and they’ve plagued me ever since. I had surgery in 2016 (ligation) which worked well...for about a year and then they came back with a vengeance.

Not really found anything that helps other than drinking lots of water which helps keep me regular. Creams/suppositories do feck all in my experience.

I’m quite sad because once upon a time I was partial to a bit of bum sex, and now that’s permanently off the cards. Apart from the fact that it would hurt like...well...buggery...the visual effect of external piles isn’t for everyone.

No real advice but solidarity.

igotdemons · 28/01/2020 01:27

I’ve never had piles thankfully, but I do suffer with fissures and I sympathise with anyone suffering pain in the anal area! 😩 It’s so distracting and consumes your life, doesn’t it? 😩 Hope you get some relief soon OP 💐

mrssunshinexxx · 28/01/2020 01:33

Really feel for you op and others suffering. X
Sorry to hi jack but please can anyone advise just how much water they drink daily I know I don't drink enough and I'm thinking if something as simple as that helps then I mist up the intake !

Currently pregnant and have 1 external one that's just always there has been for years only ever had one awfully painful flare up where it went huge and I got suppositories which helped at the time.
Obviously I'm worrying about up coming labour and wondering should I be dabbing witch hazel on daily to shrink them?
Would be so grateful for any direction couldn't bare for this to be a huge problem after birth what with everything else we have to deal with x

BitOfFun · 28/01/2020 01:40

Go to the doctor, love. You shouldn't be crying in pain. This needs dealing with properly.

igotdemons · 28/01/2020 01:40

@mrssunshinexxx

With my latest fissure attack, I started drinking 3 litres a day and taking a fibre supplement and it’s really helped (although I also take 2 sachets of movicol permanently too, those alone just weren’t helping it heal).

I think if you look online, it will tell you how much to drink based on your lifestyle, weight etc.

mrssunshinexxx · 28/01/2020 07:16

@igotdemons thank you will have a look if I can prevent it getting bad o need to

malificent7 · 28/01/2020 07:18

Movicol to soften poo and sudocrem for sore bum worked for me.

Knobblybobbly · 28/01/2020 14:42

Well I am pleased to report that the ice helped a lot. I was actually amazed at how it physically shrunk the little bastard down.

It’s still stinging today but not the searing agony I was in yesterday!!!

Sooooo unbelievably glad for this thread....

I have about 5 of the blighters, happily hanging around the ummmm, entrance so to speak. Along with the pain of going to the loo, when wiping, I find it itches something blooming terrible afterwards.

Please tell me someone else has the terrible itching as well as the pain Blush Blush Blush

1forsorrow · 28/01/2020 14:56

WhatToDo999 I always found germaloids cream was the best for itching, and yes the itching is almost worst than the pain.

LakieLady · 28/01/2020 15:51

I buy it on Amazon. It's called SATU Toilet Tissue Paper Gel

SATU. Shit And Tidy Up, perhaps? Grin

Rubyupbeat · 28/01/2020 16:26

Thing is, if you have outside ones, it's because you have ones inside pushing them out, that's why suppositories are best, but the cream offers outside relief.
I find preparation h gel and suppositories work for me. But my friend had really bad ones and an operation was the only tried she could get I
In the end.

Rubyupbeat · 28/01/2020 16:29

Oops, 'an operation was the only way she could get relief in the end'

Runnerduck34 · 28/01/2020 20:46

Go to the doctor, I know it's embarrassing but they might be able prescribe something more effective.
I have had piles occasionally since childbirth and they can be really painful . For home remedies get an ointment with local aneasthic in it and take ibuprofen for swelling and pain. Epsom salts in the bath can help too.

Knobblybobbly · 28/01/2020 21:35

Although my bum nuts are a bit better today thanks to applying g ice for over an hour last night, I’m pissed off that the online pharmacy’s statement of “order now for next day delivery” has a small print of “order before 11am” and I ordered at around 5pm. So my magical arse bullets won’t arrive until tomorrow!!!
