Are they a reputable ticket site to buy gig tickets from? Or are they just a tout website like Viagogo?

They're the only fan to fan resale site so go for it!

isseywith4vampirecats · 27/01/2020 17:29

ive always used eventim not overpriced and very reliable

SexIsAProtectedCharacteristic · 27/01/2020 17:30

Yep twickets is a face value resale site. No touts.

GoodnightJude1 · 27/01/2020 17:31

I’ve used twickets loads and never had a problem!

Ginfordinner · 27/01/2020 17:33

Brilliant. Thank you.

Used them all the time. Go for it!

Some venues get a bit weird about you selling tickets on - DS's mate's mum had to go to Metallica with them as they used her card go pay and couldn't get in without the card holder! Check the small print for the venue ...

victoriashleigh · 27/01/2020 17:59

Both sold and bought from Twickets multiple times and it’s always been great.

If losing money is the biggest concern I know they have a system where, if your tickets are refused at the venue, the venue give you a code and Twickets will fully refund you. Doesn’t make up for missing a good event but your money is always safe. But I’ve never had any problems! Smile

Why do so many tickets end up on Twickets? The gig tickets went on sale the other day and sold out within minutes, then suddenly loads appear on Twickets. The seller clearly isn't making huge amounts of money.

You can’t make money on twickets, the most it lets you list for is what you paid. Often the acts only allow resale via twickets. I have sold and bought on there, they are excellent

Ginfordinner · 27/01/2020 18:17

And now, since I posted on here, the email alerts have dried up Sad

It's not for My Chemical Romance is it? They're releasing another date later this week if it is

augustusglupe · 27/01/2020 18:23

My DD uses Twickets. I like Eventim too. Both are reputable.

Dazedandconfused10 · 27/01/2020 18:33

If it was for MCR I suspect it's because me and my friend both tried to get them if we have both been successful wed have put 2 on twickets as wouldn't look to make profit.

Suchawitch · 27/01/2020 18:38

The reason tickets end up on twickets quickly is that sometimes people buy what they can get and sell them if they manage to get better tickets.

GetMeOffThisCycleOfMisery · 27/01/2020 19:07

Yep. I bought Foo Fighters tickets on the day of the concert, for £35 each!! They were originally sold to fans for £100 each. It's a great site.

I've sold tickets myself on there.

VenusClapTrap · 27/01/2020 19:15

I’ve sold tickets on there. It’s fine. The only drawback was that as a seller they give out your phone number to the buyer, and he kept ringing me. He was a bit weird, and then I had to sit next to him at the gig because it was my friend’s ticket I was selling; I was still going, on my own. Shock

Bibbiditybobbidy · 27/01/2020 19:17

They’re the ‘ethical’ one...

Arnoldthecat · 27/01/2020 19:42

Its just supply and demand, like everything else
