To think Caprice should at least have looked at her partner when she was saved?

...on dancing on ice last night?

I don't watch religiously, as the general programme is a bit annoying, but I do like the actual skating parts as I skated as a child. I didn't see the skate-off, but just caught the bit where they voted to keep her in the competition.

She didn't even look at her partner, it was like there was no-one with her. I found it really odd. Normally they hug, or at least communicate that they are happy to each other, but there was just nothing.

I thought it was incredibly rude and arrogant of her. AIBU?

Before I get rude comments- yes, I know it's just a crap tv programme, it's not important yada yada.

Ou aren't suggesting she is a self centred so and so are you?

Quelle surprise

GinDaddy · 27/01/2020 11:11

Some people don't get on with their work colleagues, and so don't want to acknowledge them as a form of self-protection, or just because they don't like them and don't see the point.

You get so much fake emotional nonsense on these shows, that it is noteworthy when someone is just disappointed, self-absorbed, gets on with it in their own headspace.

YABU to care though but you've already acknowledged that in your hasty disclaimer..

Movinghouseatlast · 27/01/2020 13:10

Hasty disclaimer?! What is that supposed to mean exactly?

Actually, I care about people's experience in the work place. It is part of my job. Being unhappy at work really is terrible for people, and can have quite an impact. Not being acknowledged publicly is pretty humiliating, whether it's on the telly or not

Probably that you've put a spoiler when some people havent seen it yet

GinDaddy · 27/01/2020 13:18

Hamish Gaman has a twitter that is in firstnamelastname format.

Perhaps ask him directly how he feels about it, and why he's been taken off and replaced by another dance partner.

Movinghouseatlast · 27/01/2020 13:20

Spoiler? It's all over the internet.

I think for some bizarre reason she is getting away with whatever she wants. She has rid herself of Hamish and managed to stay in with all 4 judges choosing her.

I think STV thinks more of her than they should and that she is contracted in for a specific amount of weeks.

God knows why, she has never been likeable.

iklboo · 27/01/2020 13:23

Not everybody will have watched it last night or read anything on the internet so they DON'T see spoilers.

Strangerthingshere · 27/01/2020 13:30

@Movinghouseatlast yes, and your point is? If you avoid the obvious places on the internet it is quite easy usually to avoid spoilers for a programme you have not yet seen.

When someone sticks it in the actual title of a thread in AIBU then that's a different story. Especially when, if you go to the TV section, there is a thread running on dancing on ice.

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 27/01/2020 13:55

I don't watch it and don't know why she stopped dancing with her previous partner, but if someone had suggested a curse/flirty behaviour, she is maybe being very careful. Or if the relationship had been tricky, she might be trying to keep this partnership very formal

iklboo · 27/01/2020 14:03

@HumousWhereTheHeartIs - she claimed her former partner was bullying her because he was pushing her to work very hard and she wasn't happy with that. Quite the opposite of the curse / flirting Grin

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 27/01/2020 17:49

@iklboo Ah I amd very uninformed! You'd think a celeb would be more aware of the cameras and how their actions could look. I'd expect a showy hug at least!
