GP, painkillers or other?

Since late this evening I've a pain right underneath my right breast, going down my right side into my rhs pelvis. It's also underneath my left oxter and like a pain shooting into my left lung from the back. My tummy also feels pain. It's not pain that is inhibiting me moving around or anything. It's just constant and annoying more than anything else.
I'm not sure what a GP could do? I've run out of painkillers but can get some in the morning.
My stomach is also blown out like a big balloon!
If GP wants bloods, then you have to book them online and get to a different facility about a half hour away. The results go back to GP in 1 week.
Am I best going to GP, or taking painkillers and see if it becomes bad enough to warrant A&E?

Call 111 for advice

They'll tell me to go to the GP within 24 hours. Blah.

The GP can do fuck all though if there's something wrong with me!

As previous poster said, call NHS24 and ask for advice from a nurse. They'll triage you over the phone and determine whether you need to be seen immediately at an out of hours facility, or whether you can safely wait until after the weekend when your GP is open again.

*taking painkillers and see if it becomes bad enough to warrant A&E?“

Waiting for something to become an emergency is a terrible idea.

How bad is the pain on a scale of 0-10? Is it getting better or worse? If tolerable until Monday Gp might be able to tell you what it actually is and put you on the right pathway. If not tolerable or worsening fast then 111.

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 26/01/2020 08:01

Yep, gallbladder. How bad is the pain?

If it gets worse, to to A&E.

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 26/01/2020 08:04

If the pain isn't bad enough for A&E, then out of hours GP today, then if needed you'll be referred straight to hospital.

See your gp.
