To ask for 90s fancy dress ideas?

We are unfortunately turning 40 this year (gutted)!
Our friends are having a 90s fancy dress.....
Any suggestions?

Iconic 90s movie costumes

A choker I think they were called, like a tight plastic/ elastic nacklace.

Blue mascara with a pale eyeshadow

Crop top.

Baby spice bunches but only at the front.

Candy brackets / necklace.

Those plastic bracelets that's were multi coloured. We called them Shag bands...

Props - A yoyo, a tamagotchi and a bag of pogs in your inflatable backpack. Oh and a furby.l and A walkman.

Flare jeans

Strappy vest top and combats lol

Glitter hairspray

You could wear a dressing gown and carry a bunch of flowers and go as Cherie Blair the morning after the 97 election.

I had a 90s party years ago. Everyone bought me a cyber pet. Some friends (a couple) each had a black tee shirt printed one (with white text) one with “Adam” and the other with “Joe”

You could always go as a classic telly show. Kenan and Kel. Sabrina and Salem etc

Classic Emmerdale and Classic Coronation Street are both currently on weekday afternoons on (I think?) ITV3... both from the mid 90's, check them out for some iconic 90's fashions.

Skirt over trousers was an interesting look. Add a kangol cap and a dummy for a necklace. Your Dh could wear a Ben Sherman shirt.

I had lovely, long line fitted jackets in the 90's, long jerseys in the winter over stirrup pants with ankle boots or gold trimmed flats. As the decade progressed clothes became very brown and navy disappeared.

Grunge at the beginning; and agree cargo pants at the end with skimpy tshirts with logos like The Angel tube sign.

Difficult for me as I spent a raft of the 90s pregnant.
