To remove upper lip hair.

Odd one. Have always had light blonde upper lip hairs. I am very fair anyway but recently it seems to have got thicker and the odd darker hair so I decided to start removing with hair removal cream.

It doesn’t seem to be growing back overly fast. I do it every week. Definitely manageable.

OH has gone mad saying I’m stupid and it’ll grow back thicker and faster and he won’t kiss me if it’s grows back spikey.

I should be grateful he didn’t want me to remove me original upper lip hair but I was so paranoid about it and make up started to look terrible with it.

Aibu to think it’s normal to remove upper lip hair. If needed or you want to of course!!

Does anyone have a no no?

BentNeckLady · 25/01/2020 21:05

@pinklillie you just hold both ends and roll it over your skin and it pulls the hair out. Like an epilator. Hurts a bit but cheap, quick and effective. And no stubble!

I've had my whole face threaded once it was fab

People who say it’s a myth hair grows back darker and thicker... mine looks like it is? My upper lip used to have light fuzz but now they look darker and more blunt (I have never shaven my face, obviously!) Grin

I tried the NoNo but wasn’t that impressed. It’s basically got a heated wire inside it about 2mm above skin level which burns the hair off at that level. The hair then feels blunt to me. Not as blunt as shaving though. But not as nice as waxing regrowth.

I got mine from qvc U.K. so I had 30 day’s to try and returned it for my money back. Only cost me both ways postage. Glad I didn’t buy it elsewhere.

I really fancy one of those lumea things from Phillips. They sound good. But my pale skin and fair hair may not provide enough contrast as it needs that to work effectively apparently. Anyone like me got one?
