To ask your collective power & knowledge to help me find this dress

I’m getting married in under 3 months. Bought my dress ages ago, hate it! Now frantically on hunt for a replacement that is off the peg (and reasonable, I already wasted my dress budget!). I have fallen in love with this Justin Alexander gown style 8924. I need to locate a pre-loved or sample sale in the uk in a label size 16. Can it be done?! I have my fingers crossed and the solution to my insomnia / nightmares about a naked wedding is in your hands! Thanks in advance.

Have you tried sending the pic out to some bridal places to see if they can source it? They may also be able to suggest some places to try.

Reverse image search might bring it up?

contact Oxfam or their website I kid you not! I know Cambridge does brides dresses

What’s your budget?

What’s actually wrong with the first dress? Are you planning on selling it?

Seems to be out of stock at most retailers so your best bet is probably in store. I’m assuming you’ve tried Depop/eBay etc.

Yes, trawled google till 4 am this morning and had emailed a ton of shops. Found a couple of smaller sizes 10/12 but they’re too small to let out sufficiently. It’s not one that can be got from manufacturers now as too close to wedding so I need a miracle.

Across the Pond...

They probably don't have it in stock (or ya never know, one might be hiding in the back somewhere, from a cancelled order).
I think American sizes are larger, so you may need a US size 14.
Even if they don't have one, they may be able to hunt one down for you, and ship it to you.
Hope you find it!

Alternatively, you might hire a seamstress to make one for you.
(Well, essentially the same, but with a tweak (different lace), to not outright copy.)
It doesn't look too complicated.
Years ago, there was a wedding dress I loved, but wanted it in ivory...
I hired a seamstress to make it, just from photos.
She did a beautiful job, and it was actually cheaper than the original!

Best Wishes! 👰

Let us know what you find!

@Rhootintootinboo ~~

Any luck?

Or have you moved on to something else?

Hope you find something you're happy with!
